Default Copper T here, also.

During our seminar, the doctors did discuss with everyone about GBS patients and birth control pills. (Though it wasn't want of the problem areas for me. ) Anyone on oral birth control should find an alternative choice because it would no longer be as effective as before surgery. As for IUDs, I've had 2 during my childbearing years and loved them both. The first one was taken out to get pregnant and the second one was taken out when I had a tubal. I had a copper T and that was in the 70's-80's, so they have been around a long time and were very reliable.

Ask about Nuvaring. It's an estrogen-releasing ring that you insert into your vagina. You won't feel it. No absorption issues. You take it out after 3 weeks, have a fake period, and then put in a new one after a week.
Best bc I have evah used.

i have that now.. my boy says he can feel it.. and im super like... iffy about it.. i have also heard that it decreases your sex drive. The patch KILLED my sex drive before when i had it, and gave me random horrendous migraines.

I think im going to really go for the IUD.

i'm sorry i will never forget going with my mom to the obgyn and she apparently had her IUD in for like 8 years (she forgot it was there ) and when they took it out she said it was the WORST pain in the world. I cant imagine that thing going up into your cervix! OMG i've had 3 kids too

I am still on the Depo shot but in a few more months intend to have my tubes tied so wella thats my story. Tric, if your done having kids why not consider that?

I have an IUD and it went in VERY easy. No pain no nothing. I have not had it removed but I can't imagine it hurting. I've got a copper T which is good for about 10 years so I've still got some time to go on mine. I had my yearly exam with my doc yesterday and asked her about the mirena IUD and she said that it's a progesterone based hormone and that she wouldn't give that to someone trying to lose weight because it'll mess with that. So you may want to go with the copper T because it is non hormonal. It is good for about 10 years versus the mirena which is only 5 as well.
