I was allowed cream soups as part of my liquid diet from day 3 (and I was an open RNY). So Campbells Cream of chicken, cream of broccoli, etc., (with all pieces strained) have been part of my diet until week 3 when I begin pureed foods. I've even used a stick blender to pulverize other creamy soups for a change of taste.

My allowable liquids were very specific and definitely "cream of" but strained soups were on the list. That and fat free fruit free yogurt keeps me going.... until Tuesday!

Good luck Pineapple... I'm going to have to look up the stuff about the stoma.

Day 38: short supermarket trip - didn't use a riding cart for the first time in 3 years!
Day 40: hernia pain began
Day 56: tops officially went from 3x to 2x... pants from 2x to 1x
Day 63: Two-terville
Next Challenge: Shopping at Walmart without a riding cart (can't do it yet: walking hurts like heck)

I don't want to know how much I have left to lose -- I find it encouraging to see how far I've come!

update: Well, I got in contact with my surgeon and he claims that I don't need to worry about any tests to determine if my pouch or connectors are too big...he said that I alone will determine my success and that there are no tests for that.
Not exactly the answer I was looking for, but I guess I'll have to settle for it.

My weight is dropping and I've been excersizing like a madwoman. I'm still feeling hungry, but not as bad as it was a week ago.

In my early stages I'm able to tolerate chicken and even beef, which is amazing. The only time I've gotten sick was yesterday when I ate some refried beans and it didn't agree with my pouch, I was dry heaving and felt nauseated for a good hour - wow, that was a terrible feeling!
