Default Bad scale! No treat for you!

So I had an exciting weigh-in this morning. I got on the scale and it said...199.0! ONEderland! Woo-hoo....right?

Not so much. I shrieked, jumped up and down, and ran to grab my camera. I wanted a pic of the scale numbers. So, I grabbed the scale and dragged it to a more clear part of the floor, got my camera zoomed-in and ready, and then stepped back on. The scale then said...200.2. Noooooooooooooooooooooooo!! So, I stepped off, let it reset, and stepped back on. The digital numbers totally did that "Biggest Loser" scale thing where they bounced all around -- 199...196...198...199.6...198...200.2. And stopped.

So...not yet. I guess the tile floor in my kitchen is uneven enough that moving the scale around will make it balance differently? Sigh. So close...yet so disappointing. Maybe tomorrow?! Eh, I should wait another few days so I'll know for sure next time that it's real. No more false hope!

I have found that if I get on my scale too soon after weighing in, it'll show I've LOST weight.. and I have to fight that urge to keep re-weighing myself; I mean.. who am I kidding, right?

Can't say I blame you for wanting to save that first weigh that puts you into Onderland on 'film' so to speak... I know I'll save mine for sure! I'll probably need to keep looking at it to believe it true, after being so heavy for soo long!

You're <thisclose>, Nyn.. good for you!

Just a thought, but were you holding the camara when you weighed the second time? It easily could weigh 3 tenths of a pound.

OMG! LOL!!! I totally didn't even think of that. You might be right, though I'll check that tomorrow or in a few days when I weigh again. But actually, the difference was over a pound (from 199.0 to 200.2) and though it's a metal camera, I doubt it weighs that much. I guess we'll see!

hehehe...I SO get this, Nyn!! I always get on the scale like 3 or 4 times before I believe it and even then I often don't believe it. I've been known to show 153 on my scale 3 different times in a row and then the next day have it show 156!!! I knew there was no way I put on 3 pounds over night but there that scale was telling me I did. NOW I don't believe the weight I see unless I see it at least 2 or 3 days in a row. *L*

Hang in there, darlin' you'll get there....our bodies just don't ever seem to want to cross over into One-derland without tormenting us a bit first.

Okay ... get a camera that weighs less, and get naked before getting on the scale ... that should catapult you into Onederland!!!

Good Luck!

Aw, thanks! It was being a very naughty scale indeed this morning. I would totally let you hold my earrings except when I weigh myself I always do it without anything on at all, not even earrings When they weigh me at the doctor's it's always a little depressing to be a good 5 lbs heavier than I think I am.

The idea to take a picture of the scale I totally stole from some other ladies on here. Corrine and/or Eseret, or maybe both of them.

My scale does the same thing. I notice that I weigh more out of the shower than I did before I got in. Can water on my body really weigh that much? I do know for sure that I weigh less after peeing, especially if I really had to go. And poop? Poop can be quite weighty. As a matter of fact, the mornings I wake up and poop right away are my favorite mornings, because i know the scale is gonna love me that day. I've actually briefly considered weighing a poop...just to get a ball park idea. Good lord, am I sick or what?

LOL! No, I personally don't think you're sick at all! Well, I wouldn't ever consider weighing the "product" myself, but I totally see where you're coming from. I'm honestly happier now that my insides have regulated more and I'm now more regular in my bathroom trips. I tend to get bad constipation. Anyway...I never thought having to go poo would make me happy, but I do know that I'll weigh less later, LOL! I have a routine in the mornings...I go to the bathroom, undress down to skin, and then go weigh. I don't drink any water first, even when I wake up very thirsty. The less in me, the better!
