I am going bald..
My goodness I knew this was coming, and even using the nioxin still, my hair is falling by the handsfull. This morning was the worst.
I know it will come back but, I just cry seen so much of it fall.
I recently cut 14" off, well at my 3 month check up I stoped at Wal-marts beuty shop and had them cut it off, sent it to locks for love or what they call that? where they make hair pieces for kids in chemo and such.
Anyways, just wanted to cry it out.
How long does it keep going and how soon does it grow back up?

Trust me we all go through this. My hair is thin so it hit me especially hard. My hair started thinning at about 3 months post op and i am now 9 months post and in the last month I have noticed not hardly any is coming out now. Plus I have new growth too. I did go to a shorter style too. So that helped with mine too. Also I don't know what supplements you are taking but the biotin really helped me too once I started taking it too. Good luck girl I promise it does stop and get better. Just a small bump in the long road of looking and feeling great.

I've heard it happens to most people. I guess even if you are getting enough protein. Are you getting your protein? My friend says when hers started falling out, she upped her protein even though she thought she was getting enough and it stopped. Might be worth a try. How much protein did your Dr. say you need to get.

Are you taking any vitamins for your hair and nails at all?
My surgeon told me to start taking them soon as I could, crush them ya know? I've been taking mine and I've noticed a little more hair falls out then before the surgery but not too bad...yet. :/
I know I am not always everyday getting all my protein in but...still.

a minimum of 50 grams of protein up to 90, I stoped counting a while back because I was confident I was getting it in. When I don't feel I am, I drink half a serving of Isopure and that gives me 25 grams.
I am not taking any supplements for that, Other then the nioxin. I will look into it.

Yes I am going Bald too. My Dr's warned me it would happen. I am taking Boitin as well as protien. I was told forn 60 to 100 grams a day. I have hard time still with the flavors of protien. I guess my taste buds will never go back to what I use to call normal. I couldn't take the handfuls falling out so I just went and cut it short almost Jamie Lee Curtis short. But now I feel better about it and its not as noticeable the hair loss. I know there are new hairs so maybe it will end after the 6 months period.

My hair loss was scary, too! It started at 6 months post op, and lasted about 2.5 months. Interestingly, my hair is curlier now. Texture completely changed when it grew back in.
