Default This blows my mind!

Last week, I tossed a pair of black trousers into the laundry prior to donation to a thrift shop - they're size 40 and don't fit me any more.

Today, my partner - who's ALWAYS been smaller than me during our nearly 30 years together, as he was changing clothes at the end of the day, remarked, "I think these pants are yours - they're too short for me."

Indeed, he'd mistaken these in the laundry for his, and wore them, not noticing until he left the house that they were the wrong length. It blows my mind that he didn't notice because of the waist size - this would NEVER have happened before!

Wow.

Thumbs up That's so cool Phil!

Isn't it exciting? You want to hear somthing funny? A few weeks ago, I asked my 13 year old son if I could try on his pants. I think they were a 32 waste, which fit him a bit baggy. You know boys and their baggy pants. Well, I tried them on and they.........FIT! It was funny! Today I went to Wal-Mart and found some cute capri pants on sale and I bought them. They are a size 8 and when I tried them on and looked at my profile, I thought, "Damn! I look good! My butt is flat, but I look good!" So, I'll be wearing them to work tomorrow.

Congratulations to you with your weight loss...you're doing really good my Friend!

Thanks, Irela - and congrats on yours, too, and on Bill's finally getting home - hope all goes well from here.

That is really funny. A few months ago my husband had misplaced his black 505 jeans 36 waist and had me email all my friends to see if I had given them away. By then I was a 32 waist so I laughed and emailed everyone. He found them but we had a good laugh because for years I was so big and he use to be a 32 waist. He is back into a 33 waist and hopes for a 31 or 32 soon.

Thumbs up OMG!! Congrats!!

Phil,

That is such exciting news!! Your partner is nowhere near chunky either so for him to fit into pants that are too big for you is a huge accomplishment!! I am so happy for you. Keep up the great work my friend. You look amazing!!

Talking Mind blown yet again!

Scene - a shopping trip to Target ("Tarzhay" of course!)

Purpose - restock closet with polo and short sleeve shirts that fit, having discarded 45 Large/Extra Large/XXL/XXXL that no longer work for me.

Success - found some nice shirts in size SMALL that fit!!!

Mind-blowing part: since some of the shirts they had that I liked didn't come in a size smaller than men's Medium - and were too big!!! - my selection was limited.

So I had a brainstorm and wound up with not only four men's size SMALL shirts, but also five EXTRA-LARGE ones ------ from the

BOYS DEPARTMENT!!!!!!!!!!!

(The Boys XL (14-16) are apparently the same as men's small - and they cost 4-8 dollars less!!!)

This is my first shopping experience in the boys department... ever... my mother was buying my clothes for me the last time I could wear anything from there, about 47 years ago!
