Mark, have you located replacement copies of the sheets the doctor gave you after surgery, so you KNOW what you're supposed to be eating?
You posted before that you lost them, and it was suggested you get them faxed or read to you by your doctor. Or ask them where to find it on the net. Getting those sheets of food intake information STRAIGHT FROM YOUR DOCTOR will be the best guide for how to treat your body post-op.
Once you have them, then you can keep them in plain view and the challenge of remembering everything will be lessened.
Once you have those pieces of paper that your doctor gave you to use while healing, you will know what you need to do, right?
Anyone at the doctor's office can provide these handouts that patients are all given by doctors. Even if the doctor isn't in. I recommend you call and ask them for that information. I think I said that before in another thread (the mashed potato one maybe?), but in case I didn't I'm suggesting it now. It will help you get things straight and you will know what to do.
The forum is a support, and we all have different experiences. Your DOCTOR is your primary source of information, after all the surgery cost a lot and he got paid. His staff is part of what you paid for. They will be HAPPY to get those sheets to you. Trust me.
Seeing in black and white what the doctor's orders are for post-op healing after major stomach surgery is ESSENTIAL and it will be the best tool. Not the forum. The forum is incredible for aiding with some issues, but it cannot take the place of your doctor's orders. I hope you can get them quickly and find some reassurance and guidance from what your doctor's orders are for you.
