Default Whoa!

Before things get out of hand, everyone please take a big breath.

There are a couple of issues:
1. Spiders (search engines) re-index our site all day long since we have so many active threads. Some of those "views" are from search engines and are not actual people.

2. Some people read through the forum first and then respond to topics.

3. Sometimes it just takes a few hours for a response. Not everyone that reads posts has an answer.

As an unbiased moderator, I just needed to point those things out. Life is short, and we are all here to help each other.

Mason - welcome to the forum. This truly is a wonderful mecca of information and support, and I hope you will use it to the fullest extent.

Can we possibly turn this thread around?

I know I am now on the defense. Are you trying to correct my attitude on here( I am sure reported by Duckie the hater) That was a sincere sentence It is very hard at times to write something that is meant the way you want things to and to turn out wrong. But Duckie threw her 2 cents in and started with the negativity. If you read my posts here I did try to explain myself, but at the same I was upset on how she responded to me without the possiblity of accepting I might of worded it wrong. So instead she went for the throat and I went for the kill. I thanked Corrine for her informative post, but after my dealings with Duckie she then made a smart comment back to me......I swear this is all so childish......Anyway, then Santanarose threw her 1/2 cent comment in with the prickly (Meaning Prick) comment. So when you state we have a couple of issues here, are you implying it only entails me? Well if that is the case tell Duckie and the other two they started the child games. The only thing I have I learned so far from this forum is that you better asked the right worded question and never to make a mistake or you will have the duckie police after you while spreading her god like attitude on who she feels worthy to respond to.... Lastly, If I was so wrong, how about explaining to them not to type crap like what Duckie and the others said. All it does is start the back & forth crap....who would not be on the defensive......They are supposed to be Senior Members here, you know show some guidence. I am curious whats your take on this-- but probably have an idea due to the way you proposed the couple of problems to me. Thankyou for showing me the respect to reply to you John and tell Duckie again for me.... whatever She has ruined my attitude towards this forum. I am sure there are great people on here, but already found in my first post how some people are truly childish as in this is my sandbox and you cant or will not make a mistake

Go ahead Duckie the Hater and roll your eyes some more- I still feel whatever to you

Hi Mason,
I appreciate your responses, but does it even have to go to this? Does it have to 'go back to her court' or can we just look past this?

I mean, you said that this is the biggest decision you are going to make in your entire life, and that you are nervous. I just think that maybe focusing on that and helping yourself, rather than dwelling on a small argument, is the best decision.

People ARE here to help you and support you on your journey. I hope that you will not throw away this resource just because of a small argument, because I strongly believe that it is a valuable tool and will help you when you need support the most.

I also understand that we are all humans, we all have misunderstandings and arguments - there just comes a point at which it's better to forgive and forget.

Best,
John

Hi Mason -

I, too, am a "senior member" (which only means you have posted more than 50 or 100 posts). I sat back yesterday and watched all of the drama unfold, and wasn't going to say anything. These folks, and now you, are my family. I have been around long enough to have developed a relationship and rapport with them, and would very much like to get to know you better as well.

I understand that you are in the beginning processes of getting the surgery, and it can be a very nerve racking time - it is a major decision, and a life changing one at that. Your feelings are normal.

When we type things on this forum...that is all it is - the written word. No tone, or inflection, or body language can be seen or heard to discern what the other persons intentions are. I know Duckie well enough, and have talked to her enough to know the sound of her written voice to know that she couldn't hurt a fly. But I also know her (and others) well enough to know that when there is nastiness displayed toward them without cause- they won't play, and they will defend themselves.

You posted a thread for help as a newbie on a board of folks who have a family-like bond. Then not an hour and a half later posted a sarcastic post about no one replying. I am on the east coast, and at the time you posted your first post was in the shower getting ready for work. Your second post? I was at work reconciling an Amex statement, and didn't have a chance to see the board until 11 my time. Know what? I'll betcha other people were busy at that time of the morning as well, and weren't watching the board, or perhaps they had nothing to offer because they didn't have the knowledge to assist you until Corrine posted. And to top that off, if they were on the west coast - they were probably still sleeping. My point is not to upset you further, or insight more negative-ness on this board, but to point out to you that its really not all about you. I agree with John that its best that we overlook things, not take them so personally, and get on with this business of living.

Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

Look, its just not worth it to me. You can defender all you want, but come one. She didnt help the matter at all, with her replies also. But since rereading your post again. I say whatever to you to as well. My god I never had to deal with such BS in my life and I thought the surgery would be hard and after all this. You people are wierd.

I see your another one defending the hater. So I kiss you off as well. I rather stick to the support groups then to analize this BS.
