You learn from this though.. I DO NOT eat chicken nuggets, or Nutrigrain bars. I cant stop the coffee thang tho.... but it is in the back of my mind when I drink and drive, and the minute I get a cramp I get to a poyyt STAT! No matter what Im doing or how late it may take me!

Hey this is the easy way out remember?

OMG... Wow! What a wake up call! OK, it seems like you should of course also stay away from drive thru windows... whet seem to start the whole mess!

Thanks for being so candid!

No worries. Its amazing to me because Dr Callery (this is his site) he and his PA Kelly, they tell us all of this. Every thing that can happen post op regarding side effects, how many people have died he performed surgery on and why. They tell us what to expect socially with regard to barfing, crapping, friends, emotions, depression, liquor stories.... they were VERY upfront with all of us. Also, you can go to preop meetings post op patients share their stories. We are very well informed group of peeps!

I understand, that's great...

My docs had actually informed me of this - if I ate wrong and also after surgery as I am re-introducing foods back to my body again.

I guess my head is till saying that if I am going to do this, I am going to do it all the way. I will keep my diet changes too. no caffein and very litle sugar if any at all, no fried foods.... etc... I guess I have not let myself consider going back to eating like I was eating before...

Bridget, thank you for this great thread! Very, very helpful advice and the drive-thru stories, awful as they must have been to go through, were hilarious. I think Margaret Cho has a really funny (and icky) bit about a similar situation that she does in one of her stand-up concert DVDs...
