Thumbs up LauraLee is a Loser!

Hey Everyone,

Bridget and I visited Laura this evening and she looks great! She has rosy cheeks and a smile on her face. It was really wonderful to finally meet her in person and meet her lovely mother, daughter and roommate. She has a great attitude and she's hitting that morphine button like a good girl! Her surgery was only an hour and a half long today! Yayyyy Laura!

Bridget will probably put in her two cents too. I understand that Kim also stopped by earlier this afternoon, but Laura was still in recovery. Sorry we missed ya, Kim!

Right now, ladies and gents, I'm pooped and going to bed. Sweet dreams, everyone (especially YOU, Laura, you big loser!)

Default Dara,

I was there at 4:30 p.m. and the ICU nurses told me that they had not yet received her from recovery. I was soooooo bummed! I'm sorry I missed seeing Laura and you both too! Dang, maybe next time.

Thanks for the update!

Wink Visit with Laura

I was able to go visit her yesterday afternoon right before Bill was sent to ICU.

I have to say that she is in GREAT spirits and her whole outlook on this is definitely going to prove to be successful for her. I am proud of how well she is doing without her morphine drip. She is taking the Loritab before having to use the button. I met her Mom and Daughter who were just as sweet as can be. She mentioned her visitors from the night before and she was very grateful for that.

Looks like she may be out today to begin her new adventures in Loserville. Looks like she has the support at home and with us here too, she's gonna do great!

Thank you guys for letting everyone know how I was doing. Also thank you for all your kind words. It was truly an amazing experience. I thought it was going to be much harder then it was, but I have to say I really did impress myself with how well I really did do! I am a big ol baby but handled that surgery pretty darn good!
Kim...we need to meet up soon. We dont live far from eachother!

I can't tell you how much I missed not seeing you. I must have stood at the nurses station in ICU for about 10 minutes after they told me that you had not made it from recovery to there. I was just in disbelief. I didn't want to leave without seeing you, but they could not give me an approximate time when you would be there. I'm so glad that Dara and Bridget were there to bring in the new you! Call me....I'll private e-mail you with phone numbers.

I'm thrilled to know that you feeling good! If you need anything or have questions, you be sure to call me. We are not that far from each other.

You take good care and do the mantra - walk every two hours, sip all day long and rest when you feel like it - then repeat!
