Default Vomiting stomach acid

I am 12 days post op and for the last 3 days have woke up with terrible heartburn. This morning the story was different, I woke up coughing and as soon as I got out of bed I vomited stomach acid. About a pouch full. I am following my full liquid diet without question (pudding like consistincy foods). Anyone else had this trouble? I thought I was done with acid reflux with the surgery so I am frustrated, and of course my first post op vomit didn't feel so good.

Hi Robin,

I have been one of the fortunate ones, no problems to speak of so the only thing I can ask is did you call your doctor? Are you on any sort of acid control meds? Nexium for instance? If not, then I would suggest you call the doc and tell her what happened....

Same advice, call the doc, that is not so good, and Nexium could fix this if it is really acidity in your stomac. Your doc should know this in any case
