Eating Questions????
I have posted this same information on another thread, as I wasn't sure where I should go with the question so it could be seen and I can get some feedback.
Once again I am posting something that is not so wonderful to bring up or talk about.
This situation is daily and sometimes really gets me feeling a bit frustrated and not liking some of the changes that I have made to my body as it is something I never experienced until after having the operation of lap. gastr. bypass.
Ok, I have been thinking about posting this thread and my questions for some time. Not sure why I have waited. So here it goes and I am hoping a will get a variety of responses so I can see some options and try out some news ways of attacking this problem I have daily.
What do your meals consist of on a daily basis, just an example of one or two days of eating.
I eat my protiens, take my vitamins and mineral supplements faithfully and do pretty good with my water.
I have terrible problems with always feeling the need to use the restroom, usually it is air, however feels like I must go. I have developed a hemaroid(gross, sorry) and it really is disturbing. I wake up several times at night with the same sensation of needing to use the restroom, usually with the same result of only have air. Then there are the times when things come through with a forse in behind it or oily substance.
I am thinking that I am eating something that is making this happen, so I need some examples of what people are eating. Or if anyone experiences something similar with the sensations I have, what are you doing to resolve the issues. I am going to bring it up with my medical team this coming week and see what they have to say also. But I find that they are vague sometimes and so it helps getting the real persons take on it all.
Currently this is my typical eating plan: a wise man suggested I include this and also a wise woman pointed out I may be getting to much fat in the diet, but here it goes:
Breakfasts usually consist of: Non fat, non sugared yogurt(strawberry or grapefruit) somedays it is a protien bar ranging from 14 gr -32 gr protien or there are days I have about 1/3 cup of nut and wheat cereal with about 1/3 cup low fat milk with 1/2 banana.
Lunch is typically cottage cheese with peper on top, somedays I have a couple baby dill pickles too, occasionally I eat about 1 oz of nuts(peanuts, almonds, pumpkin seeds and a little sesame seed)-weekdays. Once a week lunch can consist of pasta with tomatoe/hamburger ragu, beef roasted 2-3 oz, oven roasted potato 1/2 med. size, veg.(insalata, tomatoes with spices on top,) 1oz cheese pecorino(goat) or parmigiano, fruit 1/2 apple or pear or orange or sometime strawberries.
Dinner somenights is broth with pasta, insalata, and a fruit. Occasionally I have some beverage with my meals, like water, acqua tonic or about 1/3 glass of red wine.
Once a week or so eat out in Italian ristorants, usually pasta with bean soup and about 2 oz. grilled beef.
Being in Italy olive oil is a staple in the cooking and used on everything.
Hope this enlightens more to maybe what I am doing.
Thanks Everyone.

Forgot to mention on your other post the foods I tend to eat...but it varies depending if it's a weekday or weekend.
7 AM: Protein Supplement
10 AM: Yoghurt w/"cherrios" for crunch
1 PM: Peanut Butter, 3 saltines or lean deli meat with lite cream cheese and low-fat string cheese
4 PM: 2nd Protein Supplement
7 PM: Chicken, watermelon, green beans
But it differs alot...I am now into variety!!

Hi Paul,
My meals are pretty simple...
Protein Shake for Breakfast
Banana-Snack
Chicken Breast with veggies-Lunch
Banana-Snack
Chicken Breast on Salad-Dinner
As for the oily stools, I had that problem after I spent a weekend eating a lot of fatty stuff, we went on a little trip and I was bad...I posted on here and while there weren't a lot of people who'd experienced the oil slick in the toilet there were some and the general concensious was that I'd ingested too much fat....

Update to include my eating plan for more help
As suggested I have included most of my eating plan although I eat a variety of foods. Also I have pointed out the olive oil that is used on everything here in Italy.
Thanks everyone.

I've been reading lots lately, so bare with me. I’ve learned that drinking should not happen ½ hours before eating and then 1 ½ hours after eating, perhaps getting back that basic rule might help you out? I haven’t had the surgery yet, and I’m learning lots of different things. Eating protein first, then vegetables / fruits, and then carbs might help you out?
Good luck,
Kimberly
