Default So I am 8 days out and feeling good..

I am in total shock that I am in no pain. I mean seriously, I read about how everyone recovers differently but I feel great. I've been on liquids this whole time and my doctor would like me to be on them for another 6 days but I just don't know if that will happen. Especially since I found the french onion light laughing cow cheese. Oh my Gosh. It's heaven. To someone that's been drinking crystal light, water, special k protein water and isopure...it is a gift from God. I actually took a bite of the cheese and then I kissed the box it came in, thanking it. Anyways. Just thought I'd stop by and say hey and express my love for the french onion light laughing cow cheese. I can't wait till I get the nerve to try Wendy's chili.

Have a Great Thursday!!!

Bryan

Congrats on feeling great. I too am a fan of the french onion laughing cow cheese. It is yummy. I was the same way as you with my liquid diet post op. I had never been a big egg eater before, but when I finally got to eat eggs, those were the best damn scrambled eggs I had tasted in my life. Keep up the good work.

Default lbravo! Liquids were almost too easy for me

I went into solids a little earlier than other people I think, but when I did, THAT is when I started feeling nauseated. Just be careful! Our eyes are literally and figuratively bigger than our stomach at this stage!

I'm a fan of the Laughing Cow cheese... hadn't tried the French Onion! Thanks for the tip...

It's hard to stay within guidelines... but keep trying... you really have to learn the discipline early out and make it part of you for long term success. That being said, I ate 2 saltines 12 days after surgery and got REAMED out by the "nut." Ooops!

I had been wondering what happened to you! You are my almost podmate!! I must confess, I've already bought some Wendy's chili, strained enough juice out for about 2 tablespoons, and sipped my way to heaven! You are so right, after days of sweet, blechy drinks, it's amazing how good real food is.

Glad you had no pain and feel good! Welcome back!!
