Default Yeah!!!!

Gwennie-poo - congrats on the recommencement of scale movage! I too have rejoined the moving scale club since I have increased my calories. Who would have thought, that by increasing calories, I would lose weight. What an amazing tool we have!

Jim great comment on the plateau !!!!!!!! Be proactive to share with us your next thoughts.

Gwen, thanks so much for having the right approach in this issue, and bringing this brillant Jim comment. I feel more releaved`!

Take all care, and the fight against "plateaus" and unhealthy "bumbs" or "hills" continues (although the one behind is the first one to totally ....erase :-))))

Default Congratulations my friend!!

It's so hard look down at that scale and see it standing still, but don't worry, the ride ain't over yet!

Whenever I lose a pound or two, I'll think to myself, "Well that's it, I probably won't lose anymore for a while, and then lo and behold, I drop another. I guess this surgery was all it was cracked up to be!

I have been on a plateau since Thanksgiving. Very frustrating considering I'm just 9 months out right now. HOWEVER, I got the flu this week and as of today I have dropped 5 pounds. I'm drinking a ton of fluids and too much salty food (I crave won ton soup when I'm sick) and the scale still keeps dropping.
If anyone on a plateau wants to share this plateau breaker....feel free to visit, I'm very bored at this point.

Default My comments

I have noticed a bit of a slow down.. but the answer for me seemed to be not enough protien and water.. So I upped it and things are dropping off again.. go figure??? LOL

Nice work Gwen - told you it would kick start again soon! Oh my god we're gonna be able to swap clothes soon. Hmmm, on second thoughts, I could probably wear your t shirts as a dress I'm such a short ass!

Default Just so you know~

I lost my weight in the frist 5/6/ months after suregy.I thought I was done when the weight loss stop/ stalled. Not so, my body had other plans. After no weight loss of 4+ months I lost another 30 lbs!!!!! I changed NOTHING that I did.No diet changes, no activity changes.

It was just my body relaxing and I have been this current weight for almost two years, only slide up 5 lbs each month.(127-132)

No worries, just keep doing what you are.

You are far from done.Glad you saw movement

Thanks for posting this.
I haven't been here for a few I think most because of frustrations.
I knew it was about to happen sooner or later, but I still don't like it, I don't think any of us do.
At 6 weeks I hit one of em things (ok a bit before) I was really hopping to loose steady but posts like this do help me realize that this phace will go by and the journey will continue. Today I've seen the first lbs lost in one week, so am happy with that. I know for ladies with hormones especially if monthly visitors stop by still, weight can vary because of water retention pre and during.
Looking at the overall weight I have lost since November, I am at 68 lbs so that is nothing to take lightly, I shall concentrate on that and keep doing what I am doing. Drinking my water, taking my protein, and squeezing some excersize, especially on beutifull sunny days like today
