I had my surgery done lap on Jan 15th. I had a Drain in until just before I checked out of the hospital on the night of the 17th. I had a catheter put in while I was out as well. I had it removed the morning after surgery and they pumped me full of fluid and and were not happy that I hadn't urinated enough. They almost didn't let me out the night of the 17th. When I got home and kept drinking everything flowed fine sometimes I think the stress of the stay and surgery can stop some people from having to go. About the gas, it stayed around for me as well. I had horrific pains on the first day home (18th) just burp every chance you can get and try leaning forward to do so, seemed to open up a passageway for me. Hope this helps some congrats to September on the great surgery success.
