Wink A vent is a vent is a vent...

Okay girls and boys...play nice! LOL

That said...people have mentioned to use the "search option" to find your answers...but when they are happening to YOU...an old posted thread just doesn't cut it. You want a direct reply to how you are feeling right then and there!

I think I took the post for what it was...someone wanting their "normal" life back (without that FAT). I'm only a little over 3 weeks out and understand that my life in regards to food will NEVER be the same...EVER! And believe me that's not a bad thing...but it is a MAJOR change to my life. This head hunger crap pisses me off! Example: Super Bowl Sunday...everyone had BBQ'd hamburgers and chips (along with candy and all that crap)...I wanted a hamburger! Not because I was actually hungry...it just sounded good! Did I have a hamburger? Yep!!! Of course it wasn't "prepared" the way I'd have liked...it was 3 tablespoons hamburger ground up with a LITTLE pickle and pickle juice...but it did taste pretty darn good to me!

This new life style is an adjustment...sometimes you vent out of frustration, but all in all you know this tool is what you need and want!

Default Daaaang, did I open a can of worms or what??

Thanks for the replies, the support, and the "snap out of its!". You all are great! And no, I'm not at all upset at Tammy/Ruca, if she was here she'd shake me, give me slap and maybe a kick in the ass, but sometimes that's what we need! I'm not really oversensitive, I was just messing back with her and I think she took it that way, so no probs!

And Duckie is still one of my heroes here, so whatever she says is cool! Plus she's a nurse so she KNOWS THINGS. Oh, got my blood results back, very very low iron, they say that causes the tiredness, so gotta start iron pills twice a day. I'll have energy but I won't be able to poop. It's one or the other right?

And Gwennie, I'm glad you have a crush on me, you've made my day! I love you foreigners with your cool accents and whatnot! Plus my DH says it's cool if I have a girlfriend because he's a lesbian. I'd love to join the Bears, who or what are they? I mean, I'm no little person by any means, and my hair is falling out, so the whole big hairy bear thing won't work, but I can swat a salmon out of a stream like nobody's business!!

P.S. I ate Corn Nuts today and they were awesome!!!!

Talking I knew it!!!

Your post just confirmed my instinct about you - I was sitting here waiting for this thing to blow up and become the next flame fight (or whatever you guys call it ) and then your response

Well, tell your husband my boyfriend think he's a lesbian too so we'all (is that the same as ya'll?) will have a "lorra lorra" fun

Come and play with us : Gonna be a Bear - choose your Bear name and let me know

Red, personally I totally understand where you were coming from. Those first months are hard. I know there has been more than one day on this journey where I broke down in tears because I couldn't eat like everyone else. Every time I took a bite of something my pouch hurt and I felt like throwing my plate across the room more than once! Did I ever do it? No, but I sure was tempted! I wondered if I would EVER enjoy food again! But for myself I took those negative feelings and used them for motivation to take the next step on this journey. I found strength within my struggles. I lectured myself more than once to "buck up!" just like Rucca did for you. We need both the pat on the back and hug but we also need the kick in the butt and the shake back to reality.

Many of us are struggling with a food addiction and the withdrawal from that addiction can be hell. It really can. But the question is, are you ready to face that hell in order to get to the other side? Because there is another side.

We do need to be prepared for these kinds of feelings because it does happen but you also need to have a plan of how to handle them so you don't buckle or throw yourself a pity party for the next 9 months because believe me if you do, you probably won't succeed.

You do need to be able to vent but you also need to be willing to take the loving kick in the ass too.

Glad to see you were willing....

Well, Here I am, just minding my own business when two hot women start mentioning the "L" word and I have to go get all riled up and hot and bothered. Excuse me, I need 4 or 5 minutes of alone time.......... There, all better now.

Steph sweetums - vent away - We all know what we have to do. When I turned 40 - yes I said 40. I took up Gourmet Cooking. The hobby was my midlife crisis. I like to say it was cheaper than a Porsche and Safer then an affair. But then I built a 30,000 gourmet kitchen, collected about 200 bottles of wine, spent $2000 on knives, pots and pans and now I have a pouch about the size of my left nutsack. Needless to say, it may not be a whopper I am craving, but I wouldn't pounding down some fois gras or a huge steak right now. But as I am not, my dear, so you are not,

And, if you do, I myself will travel to SC and Bitchslap you, of course after I watch you and Gweennie the Pooh and your activities!!! Ummm, can I join?
