Default not losing very quickly

so now I'm almost 6 weeks post-op, and going back to work in two days. I'm feeling alittle depressed because I havent lost as much as most people the first few weeks. I have only lost 25 pounds. I figure it is probably related to the complications I had, but what if I'm doing something wrong. I still cant tolerate those darn protein supplements and I fear I'm not getting protein. I started walking, hoping this will help. I guess the issue for me is going back to work, looking the same as I did when I left 6 weeks ago. How embarrassing is that! I mean everyone knows that I had the surgery. I was hoping to have better results and make a grand entrance.

I know this won't be too comforting but:

ONLY 25 pounds? That is great. That is 25 pounds that you won't be seeing anymore. Have you measured yourself lately? Do your clothes fit more loosely? You may be losing inches instead of pounds.

Why be embarrassed? You have lost weight, and probably feel a lot better now. You are doing great, keep it up. If anyone says anything mean or condescending, offer to give them a foot to butt-ectomy.

Afterall you did this for you, not what other people have to say right?

I think that you look different already. I saw you the day after your surgery, and then again about a week ago, and you looked different to me. You face is a lot slimmer, and so is your body. I could totally tell that you have lost weight. It is easier for me to see that in you than it's for you. You will soon learn that no matter how much you loose you always see the big girl. My friends son took a picture of her and I yesterday (a full body picture), and I saw it and told her wow I kind of look thin there, and she said DUH that's because you are, but I still don't see it in me. Trust me you look like you have lost weight!

Default Ya look good girl

First of all, I have to say you are moving mountains girlfriend! you got Rob to be serious! Holy moly! Second of all, I can totally see a difference. You look great girl. In the next couple of weeks you will have a new routine and notice big changes. Like Jeanie said, your scale is not moving but the inches are definitely coming off. I have weighed the same for 6 months but I have lost a size... its weird. Think of it like this chicken... when was the last time you lost 25 pounds and were able to keep it off? Its not coming back either so love those measely 25 pounds!!!! I bet you cant keep pants on either... I bet your clothes are baggy... your doing big things, losing weight and doing a great job! Change your angle on how you look at it and you will see your grand accomplishments like we do... big hugs lil lady!

Thumbs up Going back to work

When I went back to work a week and a half after surgery I had only lost a few pounds also probably due to complications, though none quite as serious as yours.. anyway people looked at me and said stuff like they thought I was going to come back skinny or looking like Pamela Anderson and stuff.. well I told them that they would have seen a difference if I was allowed to take the full time off that I was supposed to get. However, I wasn't having any type of cosmetic proceedures done therefore I wouldn't be different for a while. Now they all look at me and call me skinny and sexy and stuff.. also yesterday morning a couple of the guys were talking about me (in front of me) and saying stuff like they could almost see right through me and how dang skinny I was .. oh and they said I was like those chinese noodles where they are paper thin and you can see through them.. that was kind of funny. Oh you'll get the comments very soon.. even when you get back to work.

You had some pretty bad complications, allow your body to heal from them and then you'll see the weight starting to drop off!! I promise.. and YAY for those 25 lbs.. you know you're a quarter of the way to the century club already.. and you're only 6 weeks out!! Look out world.. here you come..

Default you guys are great!

I wish everybody in the real world was as nice as all of you. I do feel my clothes getting loose and I know 25 is good but I wanted to be great. I'm an over acheiver. Thanks for all the words of encouragement, I think you guys really were the first to notice a difference, or at least tell me they noticed a difference.
You know yesterday I was talking to my sister and telling her how great you all look and feel, and how I cant wait to join you guys. I was telling her that I was finally feeling good about myself. and you know what she said to me. she said "well I'm not impressed because you had surgery, I would be impressed if you did it on your own". That really hurt my feelings. anyways just thought I would share that since I know alot of you can relate.
