Default The plateau has ended....

This weight loss thing is funny. I had been plateaued for a week and a half. I was 308 at my preop appt. My weight was around 320 when I was at the hospital. By the time I was at the 10 day check up I had lost down to 300 and there it stayed for a week and a half. Finally, this morning the scale read 295. I am finally below 300 for the first time in a couple of years. It is frightening to think of how little I eat and then each day my body held onto 300 lbs. It was not letting go.

It is also bizarre because I feel smaller all over but yet the scale read the same.

I am happy to be under 300. I can't wait until I pass the 200 lb mark.

Congratulations, Melanie! I definitely know what you are going through and it feels sooo good when that scale budges again.

If you are feeling smaller, you probably ARE! Have you checked your inches??

Melanie,
Great job you are doing! It feels awesome to reach those "little" milestones dosen't it? They seem so little, but anyone who has gone thru this understands how freaking big they really are! My first big milestones were breaking 300 and being able to lower my steering wheel cause my belly was no longer touching it and I could "fit" behind it normally. Now I have had to pull my seat up like 4 notches cause I was too dang far from the wheel. Best wishes to you and keep enjoying those milestones, you earned them!
