Default Did I Panic??

Friday night I was in bed and my DH was taking off my dressings. I thought one looked a little red not bad it wasn't oozing or anything. My DH started talking about when they remove my staples and I felt light headed. I told him to stop talking about it. He said to get up and take a warm shower before he put the new dressing on. I got up and walked out of the door and I dropped to the floor. I felt like I was going to pass out. My head felt like pressure and I could hear my pulse in my head. I broke into a sweat and sat with my head between my legs. I sat there for about 5 minutes until I felt strong enough to get back in bed. Does this sound like a panic attack or something else?

Could have been a panic attack, but it also just could have been low blood sugar. I wouldnt stress over the one incident now, but would keep my eye out for it. If it should start happening with any consistency I would definately go to the doc and get it checked out.

I had the same thing happen to me about a week out. It happened 3 nights in a row, right before bed. It was freaky. My DH kept asking me if I was okay and I was yelling at him to shut up and leave me alone cause everything wa fuzzy. It was kind of like an out of body experience. I was light headed, dizzy hubby talking to me was fuzzy. The 3 times it happened was when I was changing the dressing on my infected incision site. I just thought I was either queasy from the grossness of the infection or low blood sugar. It has never happened since. I just thought it was a coincidence that we both had it happen during a dressing change.
Has it happened to you since?

Sounds like a sudden drop in blood sugar to me. Like was said earlier, watch this, and go to the doc the next time it happens. Hopefully it was only a one time thing, though...
