Red face Many Many Questions???

I just found out I am approved for surgery and it is scheduled for 5/13/05. I have many questions.
What do you eat when you are first home? I know they say liquids for the first 2 weeks, but can someone give me ideas and the quantity? I am very nervous and extremely excited at the same time. I have so many questions. Thanks Vicki

Congratulations! I'm relatively new, but it seems that it depends on your doctor. I didn't have the docs from this website. Do you?

For us it was broth (chicken or beef), sugar free jello, crystal light and water. Tea and coffee are optional, I was an avid coffee drinker before surgery and have only been able to get a couple of sips down since surgery. Don't buy too much though because the clear liquids phase goes fast and you are really not able to consume much. I struggled to get about 16 oz of water in a day.

Default Vicki,

Welcome to the forum! Your doctor should provide you with that information. Most doctors have different plans to follow post-op, I'd hate to give you information that would not be acceptable to your doctor.
