Default Did anyone experience a stricture which finally resolved by itself?

Before yesterday I experienced 2 strictures, preceeded by very strong pain in stomac. At the last one I went to ER, as 3 hours later after the pain started, I was even vomiting the water. I have a gastrography, and after swallowing this contrast liquid, it showed a clear stricture ( I also vomited the contrast liquid).
I was then asked to stay at the hospital for an interventional endoscopy.
Since the ER was so busy, I waited over 27 hours for getting it. In the meantime I was so exhausted I slep most of the day, did not drink or eat for 27 hours.

Finally at the scope it was diagnosed that the anastomosis had a normal size!!! They dilated however still a little more (I am not happy of that at all).

Doctors were surprised, and have not seen anything similar so far (I am still in the biggest GBP center). They will investigate, but first thoughs are that I had a spasme. Beside 1 stricture and 1 narrowing, I already had 4 times the spasm-stricture which resolves after many hours of patience.

DOES ANYBODY HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS? HOW CAN I AVOID THIS? HOW TO EXPLAIN THAT THE NARROWING OF THE ANASTOMOSIS RESOLVES ALONE? It was not food blockage, but a real stricture. Please help.

Take care

Exclamation Sorry to hear you are still having problems!

Hey Marine

I'm so sorry to hear that you are still experiencing problems with the stricture!

Have you tried to use the Search tool to find some others with the same problems?

Hope you get this resolved quickly!

Gwen,
Thanks for the tip, I search, but are too many pages to look at.
I am specifically interested in spasms of the anastomosis which would provoke a stricture.

Take care
