Crazy but wondering
I hear fish is great afterwards and so are mushrooms. I am only 20 days out so far from it I am sure but I was hoping you woud answer me when these foods worked for you.
Tuna melt.
Made with tuna, light mayo, lemon peper, peper, and a little cheese melted together on a whole grain toast but now I guess with no toast as that was the and this is now in the no bread world.
crab cakes
imitation crab, fat free low carb cream cheese, scallions, onion, parsley, lemon, and peper
Salmon
put with dill and a lemon in a piece of foil and bake in the oven if you need a sauce, mix lemo juice from foil pack and oregonio with about a 1/2 teasboon of either low carb fat free cream cheese or mayo (cook on the wolfgang panini makeer and not in the fryer and you need no bread crumbs but it is still crispy.
Caned has do not know why I love it.
Finally, I would love to have a pilsberry crescent. (spelling is worng I know.)
can any of you tell me when these foods would be ok to try? I have a map but it says pureed foods, soft foods ect nothing specific enough for me to have a real idea.
All help is apreciated.

If your supposed to be on pureed foods make sure if you have the salmon it really is pureed. I've eaten salmon 4 times since surgery and it didn't sit right until this last time last week. Anything with bread still bothers me, especially crescent rolls. It feels like the bread has sharp edges or something. Whatever you eat take very small bites and if it is supposed to be pureed have it that way. Eat very slowly or you'll get really full and not realize it until your in pain. If the doctors office didn't give you enough directions call and talk to them and make sure you know what you are supposed to have.

I wouldn't do the biscuits, personally, but everything else looks good. I've made a couple of tuna melts for myself actually, with just about your same recipe...I can't eat a whole sandwich, but it sure is good!
All seafood works VERY well with my pouch! Especially crab legs...(right, Whitney?)

I can do all fish ( although the only two I care for are tuna and Crab) Breads are alright but I can only do 1/4 of a sandwich. Just make sure you are extremely careful. Because as it has been said before all our pouches are different. You maybe able to tolerate foods that I may not be able to handle and vice versa.

I know it seems far far away . . . but your food horizon will change!
I'm great with fish NOW!! But, until I was 12 weeks out - I could stomach most tuna . . . and I tried.
Now (almost 2 years out) I still can't do much bread - I will buy the Pepperridge Farms VERY THIN sliced bread and toast it - then eat some tuna on it . .. mmmm.
NO ROLLS or BISCUITS for me . . . ekkkkk - they feel BAD on my pouch.

I did very well with fish when moved to the soft food stage. I almost lived on tuna! and i also had loads of crab sticks. I say once u get to the soft food stage go ahead and try a bit of tuna (plain first) and see how u feel with it. thats the best way with introducing new food. just try it and see how u feel

I am 8 weeks out now and I still can't eat mushrooms or fish of any kind. I got so sick I won't try it again for a very long time.
If your pouch can handle it great!

Well at three weeks out I am still on liquids and have not moved for christmas i was able to add jello pudding so that was something new but who thought I would crave fish so much. I love it and forget that it has been so long.
My hunny's parents thought it might be nice to cook for us since I can not cook for myself now so they being hispanic brought more then a fridge full of scones, carmel, bread, tortillas, cane asada, avocados, tamallies, rice and beans not to mention a whole crop of onions and garlic. He will eat for a while but man that is not really as helpful as they thing to put it all in front of me especially the avocados I love them and want it so bad. hehe. For now it is jello.
Any advise on the meds I still hurl them up I can not get them down to save my soul and I have tried mixing them with the jello and the pudding it is not helping. But Acai plus which I just signed up for has been a life saver makes my tummy feel great and less weezy yesterday I took it and for the first time did not hurl all day which given it is christmas was my miracle. I am going to take more now. and it does not taste bad but has over 100 healing herbs and lots of b vitamines in it. YEAH!
