Default People recognize me

This sounds like a weird issue. I have lost 77 lbs. and I don't feel like it's as much as an accomplishment as I would like. I would like to lose another 70 lbs. so I'm a bit more than halfway in 5 months (which I understand is a big accomplishment). When people see me they say I look great and I'm usually very forthcoming with my surgery. Why am I so offended that people recognize me? I've changed so much....

Be proud of all you've accomplished! People recognize you if you've lost OR gained weight, I wouldn't take that in the wrong way. But you probably feel like you've lost so much weight that you couldn't possible LOOK the same?! You're the same you...just in a smaller package.

Congrats on the terrific weight loss! Keep it up!!!

People recognize me - and that surprises me, too.

A few weeks ago, I was shopping and a woman said, I think I know you... Didn't you go to Memorial? (HS)

Now --- I graduated a million years ago and 160 pounds ago... my hair is totally different, and yet she knew me. Once she told me her name, I still couldn't recognize her...

It's just freaky that way...

People recognize us not only by sight, but by what we have emanated in our life. By the impact, our smile. Just because your outside has changed, doesn't mean people that love you won't recognize you. Just enjoy the love and support they are giving you. Don't be put off that they don't react the way you expect them too.

I have lost over 160 pounds and some people recognize me and others don't. Why, who knows. But I have come to the conclusion, that even if people recognize me, they don't know what to say...many think I have been sick with cancer and don't want to comment. I live in a small town with lots of rumors!

Either way, be proud of what you have accomplished!
