Default Knowing when im full..

I have this lil issue which im sure others have as well.

I take that "one LAST bite" which seems to be one bite too much and i get sick. It is suchhhh a mental struggle because my head goes "oh girllll you can eat more than that.. you CANT be full" and my tummy is going "PARKING LOT FULL".. My head is winning as you can tell. Like last night i had scrambled eggs and i was like oh i can have that last bit.. and i threw it up... and i was in so much pain...

How did you get over that mental struggle of "being full"?

I'm worried that i'm going out for my girls bday tonight and I'm going to end up getting sick (thank god i have a lapband friend there who understands though).

Because I still suffer from the "eyes bigger than the tummy" complex, I still use a measuring cup or scale to mete out my two ounces of food. I suppose one day I be able to judge it without help, but today is not that day.

Kelly,

Even at almost 3 years out the "one bite too many" still happens.

I find that the slower I eat the better I do.I rest after I eat about 1/2 cup and then if the pouch is good I will continue.

I have not won the "mind games" yet, some days I just can't judge but then I will do awesome for weeks at a time.

In my case, as soon as I feel ANY pouch pressure I stop.(try too)I have even been chewing, felt pressure, and spit it out.I hate getting sick

You will do & get better for sure, you will also know your body & pouch like no one else.

GL

I'm gonna just have to take my time tonight. I even checked out the menu online before we go, so i know what to get. It's between the salmon or the grilled shrimpies... tough decision

I'm tryin to plan ahead. *sigh*

I get zero warning about being full either. Thankfully, I don't get sick - I just feel uncomfortable for a while.

And that's why I have to continue measuring everything. But I'm glad about that - I'm crap at guessing.

Oh yeah. It still happens but for the most part you usually just figure it out. It's just "practice". I still spit out that last bite when I need to.
