"I've decided that I won't touch candy. My fear is that it won't make me sick so it's easier for me to continue to believe that if one sliver of candy passes my lips, I will die an unbelievably painful death!
Same applies to cookies and doughnuts etc. etc., and all things that led to me having to have WLS.
It's actually not hard - I've decided I'm now allergic to them - they will do horrible things to me so I can't eat them."

Corrine, I am totally of your opinion, and so do I, it is so rewarding. The little bits could lead to bigger later. Therefore I decided to have DISCIPLINE when eating as well. As you say, they have been devilish, and I want to stay away!!!

Thanks Claire for your great thread, thanks to all of you, yes you are also an inspiration for me, and a team, with the same goal, and the same fight, you are my best support group.

Lets continue, and not to forget the "hell" we leaved in before. The future is in front of us, AND for us.

Good day to all of you. :-)))))))

Yes Claire, again and again, I have to repeat it, when I see at work what my thin colleagues female - especially the tooth sticks like" or even men eat, I am shocked: really equilibrated, not so much, no extras, no between meals,

No, Corrine, it hasn't all been weight loss, but clearly losing the weight has been a huge step toward finding the authentic me, the real me, warts and all!

We make choices........
Claire, your wow moment really made me smile. I too have been tempted to ask my husband this same question, because I know what I see in the mirror isn't what other people see when they look at me. Your DH response gives me courage to ask this tough question.

When I got down to your post with the above comment, I started to tear up, because I too have found it is SO, much easier to take that positive path, and you have stated it so beautifully, that I think I will print it out and put it on my bulletin board at work.

Thanks so much and congrats on reaching goal.
