Thanks for sharing your wow moment Claire! That must have been so nice to hear! On the other hand... I hope you smacked him (playfully) when he made the coffee mug comment!! Ha Ha!)

Anyone who has seen your cruise pictures knows that you are most certainly "thin enough"!!! You look great!

Marine, Michelle, Mike, you guys make me blush! Thank you so much for your loving words!

Mike, I DID smack my DH (playfully) when he made that coffee mug comment! But at the same time, I knew he was right - that's how it was when I began my journey. The fact that we can laugh about it, long after I lost that wonderful "feature," feels good!

And that's exactly what I've been doing Claire.

Stupid as it sounds, I made a concious choice NOT to eat the crap that I was eating prior to surgery. I didn't go through all this only to find out that I can graze on such things. Anything that passes my lips has to be worthy of my new self.

I've decided that I won't touch candy. My fear is that it won't make me sick so it's easier for me to continue to believe that if one sliver of candy passes my lips, I will die an unbelievably painful death!

Same applies to cookies and doughnuts etc. etc., and all things that led to me having to have WLS.

It's actually not hard - I've decided I'm now allergic to them - they will do horrible things to me so I can't eat them.

p.s. Andy's post hit the nail on the head for me. Nothing is worth being fat again for: Not for $1,000,000

Nothing stupid about that, Corrine!

Thin people make choices - that's why they are thin (generally speaking).

The power over food.....ahhhhh, it feels soooo goooooood!

Claire,

What a fabulous wow moment for you! 'Thin enough' has to be one of the most beautiful phrases in the English language, I can't wait til I hear it one day. Major points for your hubby! You look fantastic!

And Corrine, I love your 'I'm allergic to that stuff' idea. I'm going to borrow that if you don't mind.

You ladies are such wonderful inspirations to me!

Hugs,

Kimberly

I started this thread last month, and I have gotten to goal now. I put away the scale. I'm finished the weight loss part of this journey. And now the MOST important part of the journey begins......
