2lb gain at 12 weeks - FREAKING OUT
HELP!! I'm freaking out.. I'll be 12 weeks post op on Friday and this week I've gained two pounds. Now normally I wouldn't be so stressed but I was losing quickly in weeks 1-9 and now in the last 3 I've only lost 8lbs and this week now gained 2!! I refuse to put this weight back on.. I will not fail again.. Does anyone have suggestions???

I am not as far out as you but I go up one week and down another. I do not let it bother me, it can be because of so many factors ranging from water retention to when you had your last bowel movement.
If you continue to gain, gain, gain over the course of a few weeks, then yes, maybe speak with your nutritionist.
But I would not freak out, you will not go back to the old you if you do not let yourself.

It could be that you are holding water, or a hormonal thing going on. I was told that there have been other people in my program that gained four pounds at that far out from a little too much salt, or a slight increase in carbs. I wouldn't worry too much unless it continues to go up.

ConstructiionChick, you are doing an AMAZING JOB!! Try to keep your eyes on the big picture -- look at what you have accomplished in such a short period of time!!! Truly awesome!
It is perfectly normal to go up and down - that two pounds will be gone and a lot more in a very short time. The body fluctuates and adjusts - mine is still doing that, and it probably always will.
The key to success is not what the scale says on a daily basis. It is how you eat, exercise, etc., utilizing this gift we have called a pouch.
You are doing great! You go, girl!

Your body has to take a breather. You have lost so much weight so fast. I wouldn't worry at this point at all. Great job!!!!

In addition to all what was said:
1) Do not focus on today
2) Look forward tomorrow
3) Just review what you eat
4) Stop worry, what it is 2 pounds in comparison to the 86 you already lost
5) You will continue going down. Stop worrying, and take care

You are doing great. I am a littele more than 4 months out and i go up and down about 2-3 lbs, but i am still losing just part of the process. Keep an eye on your salt intake.

No worries! Everyone's body does a "hiccup" so to speak to catch up, or reset after dramatic weight losses, like yours. Mine did the same after losing really quickly initially. It's a normal 'bump' in the process and one that is no big deal. Now...it becomes a problem only if: You stop losing weight completely for over 6 wks, and start gaining and/or any other additional problems start. Otherwise...it's all part of the process. Best advice...stay off the scale except for once a week! The average of the week is a better TELL than a daily journal. Your doing amazing....keep up the good work!!
