Does stricture affect weight loss?

Yesterday I had to get an EGD for a significant stricture. I am six-weeks out and suffered from vomiting. Prior to that I had not lost any weight for a week. Is there any connection between a stricture and the amount of weight lost? Has anyone else had this happen?
