Red face Tired + Protein

Hi there,

My pouch and I have been trying to find each other since the start. I want and my pouch does not agree and boy does that Pouch know how to complain!

I read somewhere on this forum that hairloss might be lessened by high protein intake, so I went off the dietary track a bit and investigated high protein stuff. Athletes take high protein bars and after a while I found a soya high protein bar that actually tastes like chocolate ( ok just a little bit but for a declared chocoholic this was heaven) and what do you know- all of a sudden my energy levels are peaking- hello there!

Someone much more experienced in this whole business might be able to understand this, but I am doing high protein now before anything else. Yes I know the mantra- protein then veggie then everything else, but I thought my hellweek had just come a little late- how can I be so tired???

Another thing- my weightloss before GB- was always- strict dieting -lose 10kg ( about 20lb) and then my body thinks- WHAT??? and responds by being hungry all the time. Now at this point after GB- I have lost similar amounts and my body is doing it's old tricks again. I am not hungry( honeymoon phase ) and I won't exactly call it mind hunger either (or is it? My body and I don't talk so much) I crave something to chew on, don't really care what. Could be carrots or biltong(jerky) or yes as pathetic as this sounds jelly -so I am now spacing my supper out over about 2 hours so that I can chew for longer....

BUT I haven't dumped in a week! So pouch is quietly coming to terms with me...

Any ideas on the protein/ tiredness thingy?
