Default My 7 month check up

I should have gone for my 6 month check up last month but there was issues with my authorization so I had to go this month. Every thing is going well for the most part. All my labs came back good except my thyroid....go figure. All those years I was morbidly obese and they tested my thyroid all the time and said nothing was wrong with it. Now I lose weight and my TSH was a tad high I believe. So they sent me for more thyroid testing. I should find out in a week or so. He was amazed at how much weight I have lost. He wants me to keep my protein where it is at but try to add more green veggies as much as I can. I have lost 161 lbs since my journey began and 129 since surgery. I was 222 when I got married 15 yrs ago and can't believe I will be there again soon!! This has been the best journey of my life.

In other good news, I had found a lump in my breast and had a mamogram and an ultrasound the other day and proud to say it is only a subcutaneous cyst and not cancer. Just wanted to share my good news with my TT family! Hugs to all!

Glad that lump turned out to be a cyst. I had a scare like that a few years ago. The wait to find out what the lump was had to be the scariest time of my life.

You're doing so awesome!!! I'm happy for you.

Andie I have to say by reading your email I started to fear and was happy, then again fear, I am glad it was only a cyst. I can relate your wish to reach the weight at which you got married. I have a similar dream, to wear again my wedding dress. Probably in 1 year.
Continue your great achievement.

So glad it was only a cyst, that had to be very scary. As for the thyroid, go figure. They were always testing me for it as well, as if there was a reason other than my eating habits for how big I was.
All in all, though, you are doing GREAT! Keep it up.

Andie, my podmate, congrats on the huge weight loss! WOW! And I'm so happy about the diagnosis regarding your breast (I wait with great fear for news of my daughter's diagnosis).

Hope the thyroid thing is easily handled, and this is a shining example of why it is so important to keep those regular appointments!
