Default Car Ride Hell

I'm just over a week out and really haven't been in a car since coming home from the hospital. Yesterday I took a 10 minute drive to the grocery store and was okay. Today I had to go see my surgeon because my little incision site is really red and hot and we were concerned about an infection. Well, my surgeon is about a 40 minute drive each way. My mil drove me as I'm not supposed to drive until tomorrow. By the time I got to the office, it felt like my abdomen was on fire. It hurt like hell to walk and I had to walk hunched over. Now, it has hurt some since the surgery but nothing like this. By the time I got home all I could do was go to sleep. It was a painful thing. I have not taken the oxycodone since Friday but think I just might tonight. Has anyone had this happen or could it be from a potential infection?

As for the visit, he said it was red and hot, the incision looks great but he put me on an antibiotic for 5 days in case something was going on underneath. He thought I was doing well.
I lost 9 lbs in my first week, after losing all that hospital bloat. So, I'm happy about that.
WOO HOO! I'm on my way.

I'm sorry you're in pain but congrats on your weight loss. You're off to a great start.
