Default The bear's one week follow up.

Greetings from the bear. Life surely likes to mess with you. It's like Rosanna Danadana says.. If it's not one thing.. it's another.

The Good news...

Let's start with the good news. I went for my one week follow up. I lost 15 lbs since surgery. I had a stunning appointment, and they were all well pleased. I start my vitamins on Monday. Most importantly, I get to eat WENDY's CHILI! THANK GOD! I am still required to drink 60g of protien a day for three months, but honestly the idea of tasting something new (like this cheese I am eating) is wonderful. I am not sure how many inches I lost, but like the Wicked Witched of the West.. I am Melting.. melting..

I am in jeans that I could not wear 6 months ago, but they are already very loose, and I am at my last hole on my belt.. What does this spell ladies? SHOPPING! haha Goodwill and I are going to be so close. I am amazed at the inches I have lost honestly. I am out of my 3X shirts and in 2X. It is whacky. Let's see what else. I do honestly feel great. I am sure some people on the sidelines thought, "Oh here he goes with his Positive spin on everything", but honestly it has gone very well. I have not had any nausua or pain at all. I am walking two miles a day.

My ankles are getting skinny. Dave said, "My God your ankles.. man you have lost a lot of weight". It feels good and is nice to hear, but what the heck does that have to do with my lunch appointment at Wendy's today and my small chili! haha!

Now the bad news...

My work contract ended abruptly today. I was really disappointed, but knew it might end January 1st, but well they opted to cut many of us sooner. There is nothing like going into the holidays without a job, but God will provide. Somewhere on the way you gotta have faith, and I have faith.

Conclusion...

All things happen for a reason, and God is in control. The seasons come whether we are ready for them or not. Childen grow up at the blink of an eye, and Wendy's is exactly 2.5 miles from my house. *wink*

I hope everyone else is fairing well.

All the best,

Jeff

PS. My first novel will be complete by Thanksgiving. I am now on the hunt for a literary agent. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I am really excited about this book.

As always an enjoyable read, Jeff! You are doin' marvelous!!!

I'm sorry to hear about the job but God works in mysterious ways. Sometimes I have to wonder if He knows what He is doing but He always shows me in the end that He does.

I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers in regards to your book. If it helps at all let them know that you have an entire forum who would probably buy it. I know I would! Like Katie...I would want an autographed copy though.

Default Information about my book...

Here is a "brief" synopsis about my book:

It is the story of an eight year old girl that vanishes from an outdoor birthday party. It is six years later and she re-appears in the same dress and has not aged a day.

Let your minds wonder..

It is full of the same humor you have seen here on the forums with a bit of mystery, twists, love, and family mixed in.

In the meanwhile, I will try and pick up another consulting contract. Breaking into the writing world is a daunting challenge that requires lots of patience from everyone involved.
