My stomac blocked again
I cannot believe it. Since lunch time (over 8 hours now), anything I try to drink I vomit it again. I tried turkey for the first time at lunch, but was too dry probably, and vomited (I guess) most of it. I am afraid the anastomosis is again blocked. I try to drink but nothing goes through now longer than 8 hours.
I have a lot of pain in my stomac, cannot do anything than waiting. I do not want to go to the hospital again, I am ashame.
Why can I not just chew chew chew chew and chew. I think I do it, but obvsiously not enough. I hate myself, I have probably done something wrong again. And I am thirsty.
Anybody has a solution for this? How can I deblock this? Anything special to drink? Or just wait?
Thanks for helping me.
And good week-end to all the fighters of ThinnerTimes

If it is blocked, the only thing that will UNBLOCK it is getting a scope. I promise you...YOU DIDN'T DO THIS, YOU CAN'T CONTROL IT, AND YOU DID NOTHING WRONG!!! Strictures, (blockages) happen and nothing you do causes them or makes them better. It's how your body heals, and there isn't anything you can do about it.
Get yourself to the Dr. and stop being embarassed. There is nothing you can do about how your internal organs are healing....Trust me, I had 5 strictures and hit the hospital with dehydration 3 of those times! Don't wait, just call and go.

I AM SHOUTING THIS SO THESE CAPS ARE NOT ON BY MISTAKE!!
THERE IS NO ROOM FOR SHAME IN THIS WHOLE PROCESS WHEN IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT!
GET YOUR DELICATE BODY OVER TO THE HOSPITAL AND GET THAT SCOPE IT'S NECESSARY AND NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO CHANGE IT...
BIG HUGS ... JANIE

You need to go to a doctor!!!! And make them listen to you..this is not good. Sounds like a stricture which is easily fixed with a scope.
Listen to the others too........the longer you wait to fix it, the worse it is!
PLEASE take care!!!! Can you hear my hollering from Canada!!!!

I hear you all and loud
Zen, Jennie, Teenidenia and Lisa,
Because I had the same 2 weeks ago, went to ER they thought first to a stricture but at the endoscopy they discovered a food blockage, and then widen it a tiny little.
I read that when it is food, it deblocked sooner or later. For stricture yes we need Hospital. It is 23.08 pm, I will go to bed and if tomorrow it is still the same I will have to decide to go to Hospital. Thanks to all of you you are sweethearts really.

I don't care if it is food or not blocking it you need to call your doctor. Please don't blame yourself. Just like the others have said there really isn't room for any blame when it comes to your health. I understand it is late where you are but promise us that you will call the doctor in the morning!

Thanks Zen I needed a laugh. I can see she did hear us loud and clear. Moral of the story.. nobody is to blame for complications, and we should always seek medical attention when we can't drink or eat and keep it down! J
OH and this board is not medical attention!!

Hi Marine,
This may be too late to be of help but patients in the program I am in here in SF By Area, CA., are suggested to try a solution of powdered meat tenderizer (like Adolph's) mixed with water, like 1 tsp per 8 ozs - if it is a food blockage, it will help dissolve it, if it is a stricture, it won't do a thing. You may also want to ask if you have a scope done if your stoma is correct in size, if it is too small it can be made larger. They do tend to shrink as they heal an need adjustment. Good luck!
