Default 7 months +

Good morning everyone!

I am 7 months out and down 95 lbs. Woo hoo! I cannot believe how fast and furious that weight came off. Unreal!

The past couple weeks the loosing came to a screaching hault. This is the first plateau I have experienced to date. For several weeks I have been hovering between 151 and 153. I'm just used to seeing the scale go down. Boooo!

I had not really done any major work out routines and my eating habits have been about 1/2 cup of food every couple hours. I have majorly kicked up my work out routine since.

Any other tips or suggestions. Will I continue to loose or is the honeymoon completely over?

For a 2 or 3 week stall, I wouldn't panic too much... if it lasts much longer than that, then I think you should probably change up your routine-- switch up the exercise program, revisit the Pouch Rules and make sure you're not slipping/cheating, etc.

For the last few months, I've started losing in "steps" as my nutritionist calls it... I'll lose nothing for 2 or 3 weeks, then WHAMMO, I'll lose 3-4 pounds out of nowhere, another few pounds the next week, then NOTHING again for 2-3 weeks. It's been going this way for at least 4 months now; I keep track of the weight loss on the Thinner Self chart, and it's so funny-- a definite pattern has emerged!!

Seeing it as a pattern has made the no-loss weeks easier to deal with... but I agree, a great big BOOO to the scale when it refuses to budge!!

I'm 22 wks out and my pattern is already I'll "stall" for 2-3 weeks and then drop 4-10#'s in 2 weeks just constantly stepping down. The first time it happened I got REALLY discouraged and mentioned it to my dietitian and her recommendation is to take measurements. Just because the number on the scale isn't moving doesn't mean that the weight isn't. It's hard to not be discouraged but thats what I do is just keep taking measurements like every 2 or 3 weeks and it is moving... but it just sucks to not see numbers moving.

Nah.... weight loss will continue for up to 18 months. I would keep doing what your doing, and stay off the scales. Measure your body......you will see major changes in inches. Take care Janie

inches... when I stall for a week or so I realize my clothes still fit differently.

Good job though on those 95lbs!

Awesome job on the 95 lbs! That's a great accomplishment! As far as the rest, what everybody else said. I never took measurements and I wish I would have. During times when the weight loss stalled, I usually did notice my clothes getting bigger. Just 3 weeks ago I bought myself a pair of jeans. I tried on a 24 and they were too big so I bought the 22 without trying them on. It was still warm so I didn't wear them for about a week and a half. I put the 22s on one morning to wear to work and lo and behond they were too big! I took them back and exchanged them for a 20 which fit perfectly! During this two week period, I had fluctuated around the same two pounds, going back and forth between 263 and 265. I shrunk into the size 20s and the two days later I was 258! It never makes any sense, but I'll take it! Good luck to you, and again congratulations on your awesome weight loss so far!
