Thumbs down Help help help

I think my pouch is mad. I have what you all described as the foamies. UH how do i get rid of them? I didnt over eat but i did take a drink too soon. Not to mention i now have the hick ups. I had a 1 ounce piece of chicken and two crackers with a little peanut butter on them. This is so annoying not really painfull but send me you opinions on what to do. AND WHEN WILL IT STOP

Default Chicken's the worst...

Until I got it all out, the foamies wouldn't stop. Chicken is the absolute worst... you may want to back up a little and do mostly liquids the rest of today and tomorrow. I'd wait a week or two before trying chicken again...

I don't know if this is a good idea to try for the newly post-op, but whenever I get the foamies (or any of the overate/"food is stuck" sensations), the only solution is for the food to come back up... and the only way I'm able to get the food to come back up is to take a couple gulps of water. When I know water won't go DOWN, it seems to help stir things up enough that at least SOME of the food will come back up, and after that all is well again.

(For whatever reason, sticking my finger down my throat doesn't do the trick-- I would have made a horrible bulimic, haha...)

The foamies may continue for months if the pouchie is not happy. Still at almost 2 years out if I eat too fast, eat when stressed, then the foamies show up.

Today my physician (3 weeks post-op check of all eating issues) as well as the nutritionist recommended to drink water with a little lemon, especially before lunch (like 30 minutes before), this is suppose to help against this foaming effect.
I will have to try it tomorrow and I will let you know.

My pouch is also weird, I vomit every 2-3 days and at the same time cannot keep the water even, for many hours. And suddenly all is deblocked, and then I can drink again, and start to eat fluid / soupy things. Obsviously a piece or part of the bolus blocks the access. Again I did something wrong. The physician said I should avoid for 2-3 weeks all food that provoke this. (This I could imagine). The issue is more to do with the consistency than the kind of food. Eating veal in mince meat is fine, but in very small pieces and purreed does not go. Where is the logic?

THe pouch is really like an individual organ that we have to get to know each other and see what goes and what is not working. To find this way is long, needs patience (not my specialty) and observance. Good luck to all of us.

Could the hicop be also related with gaz?

Mandy take care and hope you will be better.
