I'm not suggesting they are really good vitamins, though. They only have 15% of the RDA of biotin and they have no selenium. But they do appear better than Flintstones.

Regular Centrum chewables have iron. But Centrum Silver doesn't. And as styxchic mentioned she was on Warfarin, I thought it important to point out that Centrum Silver chewables don't have vitamin K in them.

Ironically, Centrum Silver tabs contain vitamin K.

I also take Coumadin and this is why I don't use the Celebrate Multi Vitamins. I love their products but I get my multi vitamins from BA because they have no vitamin K in them. It's iffy enough with what we get naturally from foods. Especially since I love spinach and have had to curb how often I eat it as a result.

Sue, they gave me steroids back in June for a compressed disc in my back. I was told by my surgeon it was fine to take them and that I didn't need any kind of protectant. I think maybe the protectant is if you have to take NSAIDS. But you might want to check with your surgeon to make sure.

If you take Coumadin you should avoid supplements that have Vitamin K added to them. There is vitamin K in many of the foods that we eat. Vitamin K reduces the effect of the Coumadin and will impact your INR levels if it is not consistant. That being said, if you used a supplement with K in it, just make sure whoever does your INR testing is aware of it. The key is keeping the amount of vitamin K consistent if you ingest it whether it's from a supplement or foods.

Does that make sense?
