Could be a plateau-- which is normal and you just have to wait it out-- or it could be time to re-examine your program.

Keep a food log for a week (don't forget to include all beverages!) and get back to focusing on protein protein protein-- as we get further out and can tolerate more things, it gets easy to slide back into carbs without even realizing it.

Switch around the exercise routine as well-- if you do mostly cardio, start adding some weight training. If you do mostly weights, add some cardio. Hit the pool for a change. Do something different. It could be that your body has adjusted to whatever you've been doing-- it knows how much energy it needs to maintain you at your present lifestyle-- so now it's time to change things up again.

Default * months with plateau and hunger.

I understand completely. I am 9 months out and have stopped losing weight. In the last 5 months I have lost only 20 to 23 pounds!!!! Now my sizes have gone down from a 16 to a 10 but I understand your frustration on the scale. I too find myself hungry more often. for all you out there thinking head hunger. No mine is not head hunger. I make sure I eat 6 times a day high protein meals but the scale will not move. All I can do is hope it is not over. I hope you get it moving again. Let me know if you do and what you have done.

I'm 7 months out and just going along fine (fingers crossed), maybe it's carbs. Anyway don't sweat it you know it will pick up again, just slower. You also know any other diet you were on would have failed and you would have started to gain by now. Good luck bud.

Change things up. Make sure you are following the rules. You can eat a great deal more, but make sure they are healthy choices. It will start again. Just be patient.

I am there with you! I am exactly 7 months post op today and I haven't seen the scale move in the last 3 weeks. It is soooo frustrating and I am a little confused. I go to the dr next week and I am already preparing questions. I know that it could be a temporary stall but it still bothers me. I go to the gym 5 days a week and on the weekends I make sure that I keep moving.

I would say don't fret! Sometimes, as I have noticed, you may not be losing weight but you may be losing inches. Sometimes your bodys changing that way and it's hard to understand how you could be losing inches and not weight. I just realized that I have on a pair of jeans that were just tight about a few weeks ago but are super lose now in certain areas, although I haven't lost weight.

Don't worry! Everything will start moving again.

I hate to burst anyone's bubble, but I went for almost 5 months after my 6-month mark losing only around 10 pounds. I have since then trickled down and down and down S L O W L Y! It is a pound a week here and there..... So, it's just a sign your body is adjusting and it's a struggle after that, but it still does happen. Just be sure you are getting in your protein! I'm over a year out and I'm still on this ride.....
