One thing that I have found is that hunger sometimes is not in direct relation with what my body needs. Head Hunger. At about 3 weeks out I felt that I was hungry a lot. But, I think it was more about me and my habits than anything. My mind wanted things . .. and craved things . . . but my body certainly didn't need them - sometimes my pouch would be full and feel hungry - but that was personal to me. It did take me until about week 8 to actually figure out my mind was tricking me. It was part of my re-programming on the brain! I really think my brain thought I needed food at night after I put the kids down - I mean, I did that for 4 years. But once I broke that pattern, I realized that I wasn't hungry at night.
Make sure you are following your doctor's diet. At 3 weeks out, your pouch should be pretty full for most hours during the day.
