Default Hmm have a question

I am loving the weight loss, however, I lost 9 pounds before surgery and 21 pounds since the surgery on the 8th of August. I weighed in on Monday and was given my complete weightloss of 30 pounds. Since then I have lost some more weight and was wondering is there such a thing as losing too much weight too fast? I thought I was prepared to lose a lot of weight quickly but this just blows my mind. I am thinking at this rate, when I return to work there will be a HUGE difference that will be quite noticeable, which then means how do I deal with that? Could anyone give me your thoughts on this? I know there are plenty of you out there who have probably dealt with the same thing.

Thanks!

You are within the standard norm. Yes, weight can come off too quickly but usually the first month you average a pound a day. You will be here at about 4 weeks when it slows down wondering what you did wrong. This is just part of the normal roller coaster we call GBP.

In the beginning, like for the first two weeks, I actually lost two pounds a day. When I went for my first post-op appointment two weeks after surgery, I had lost 24 pounds! I was amazed. But it does slow down after the first month or so - up until August, I was averaging about 15 pounds a month and now in August only about 4 pounds so far. Like Dyann says, enjoy it while it lasts!

Pamela,
It will even out. If anybody says anything, just say you were really focused on getting some healthy habits started while you were out. and be sure to add "THANKS for noticing!" like you're surprised anyone would notice...
