Listen to Mama Donna...she's got it all right and knows what she's talkin' bout! For me, week one wasn't about losing, it was about healing, sipping and walking. Keep up the liquids, get some low sodium broth, keep up the walking (it will help with the bloat) and sit back and relax. You pretty much can't screw this up in the first 6 months if you follow pouch and doctor's orders!

Call me if you want to talk!

Default On-Q

Well I took out the On-Q this morning! I still fell great! I went to walmart, I handled that fine! I'm walking and getting in the fluids! Not sure if it's enough but i'm trying! I have 2 protien vials a day! They have 42 grams of protien in them! And I have pretty much stuck to just water! Today I tried some Crystal Light! It taste sooo good! I also have a s/f popsicle or some s/f jello, but mostly just water! I still don't feel hungry! As far as the weight loss, I haven't checked! I'm waiting till my first post-op visit!

Robin you hang in there! Put the scale away! We talked about that! Don't get discouraged! It will come off! Remember this wasn't a mircle surgery! Just a tool! Walk Sip Rest......Call me if you need to for support or to vent I will listen!

Love

Robin,
I'm so sorry I wasn't here earlier! What Donna says is so true, plus, they pump you full of fluids and gas and what's a body to do? It will be gone with interest most likely next time you're in the office to weigh in! Don't you have an early post op meeting on Monday or Tuesday? Right now do the best you can...Yeah, once that On-Q pump came out, I was feeling things I really didn't want to feel, lol. I am amazed at how well you and Tawna are doing...I felt a little guilty for not really having a 'hell week' I had more of a 'heck week', cause I was just a little sore...I think we were prepared for the worst...

Me too, Lynda!! I kept wondering when my hell week would start and it just never did! (knocking wood to keep the complications at bay!)

I think Robin and Tawna should make an appearance at the BBQ tomorrow! Seeing the baggy pants parade would be such an inspiration for pre-ops and new post-ops!
