Hi! I do subligual B12 twice per week and my labs are fine at 10 months out. I found a liquid sublingual- 1 dropper full, let it sit for 30 seconds. (I do 40 or 60 seconds to make sure!) I got it at Vitamin World.
My doctor did not recommend it, but I think it was Dyann who said in another thread that it can't hurt, and there is so much still to be understood about B12 deficiency. Better to err on the side of caution.
To those of you who shoot yourselves- I salute you!

Wow! Mine dissolve in less than a minute. Rexall brand sublingual dots. 500 mcg. We take two a day. We just buy them at Wal-Mart.

Shereeks... I am really surprised that your surgeon did not put you in B-12. That is the thing I remember most from my first education session was that the surgeon put up a slide that said "If you do not take B-12 supplements, you will die" I am so glad that they discovered this before you had more serious problems!

i like teh trader joes version... it has b6 and folic acid long with the b12.... it shoudl only take aobut 15 seconds for it to disolve..

If you dont' have traders near you I'd be happy to send you some. My surgeon said she never saw better results with a b12 product.

I'm still pre-op (for about 31 more hours ) but am planning to give the sublingual B12 a whirl as they'll be cheaper for me, in the long run, than a copay once a month.

I was told that B12 difficiencies are a BIG deal and, beyond feeling tired, can leave you with serious neurological problems long term. YIKES! Shereeks, get on that B12, sister!

Can low B12 levels cause nausea and dizzyness too? I feel like crap. Yes, I'm drinking enough.
