Red face Hair Loss

Well, for those of you who had questions about hair loss, here it is. I've been gathering handfulls of hair in the shower for about a month now. My hair before gbp was kinda fine and definitely not what anyone would call thick - but not really thin either. And the loss HAS slowed down. Yesterday I got a haircut - which I really haven't decided if I like or not - I do think it's too short, shorter that I wanted - and the thinning really shows more. I'm posting a pic - I think the camera flash really accentuates the loss - makes my scalp shine! And I'm definitely in need of a new color job and that makes it look much worse, too. I hope you newbees don't get too scared of this. I also thought I'd post a pic of the new cut - see what you all think.

Carol

Oooooh that thinning hair on top thing is soooooooo familiar to me! No fear, in a couple months, you'll have lots of little new growth coming in...
I like the new cut, I think it's very flattering!

Default Love the cut

The cut looks great, and the hair will come back... or at least mine did...

You know what though, Carol? If I never met you (and I haven't), and I saw you as you look in the second pic, I honestly wouldn't notice that your hair is thin. I've seen a LOT worse!!!!

Carol~

Cute hair do...and pink looks great on you...even brought out your lips.

The thinning did not look at all bad to me.

Three thoughts..

Cute,cute,cute

I love the hair cut and I certainly wouldn't have even noticed the hair loss.

Default Perspective

Just to put a little bit of perspective on things... My friend called me today.. worried that in another month or two she is going to lose her hair.. I said.."So what?" She said. what do you mean so what... its my HAIR! .. Well.. I guess I'm an odd one.. its JUST HAIR for crying out loud. I look at the girl that I work next to.... who is coming into work with a scarf around her head because she has NO Hair.. because she had breast cancer (at 36), and then chemo took her hair and I think.. So what I'll lose part of my hair.. it'll grow back.. and BONUS.. I didnt have to have chemo to lose it..

Oh, yea! I'm not really moaning and groaning about it - if it doesn't get a lot worse than this, I'm still happy - 59 pounds and counting is worth it! I'd do it again in a heartbeat even if I lost ... (whoops - better not say that out loud - knock on wood).

I have been taking 3 600mg Biotin vitamins daily and so far have not experienced any hair loss. I was really worried before surgery because I have hereditary hair loss and is as of now very thin but, I said to myself WHAT THE HECK! I WANT TO BE THIN, I WANT TO BE HEALTHY, I WANT TO FIT IN REGULAR CHAIRS AND GO BIKE RIDING WITH MY SON!!!! By the way, the cut looks great and by the time it grows a little longer you'll also have lost some more weight...what a great makeover!
