Well crap! I do still have my gallbladder. And it does only seem to happen with solid foods. Problem is we leave tomorrow for a family reunion in OR for 5 days. I'm hoping MAYBE it's the tummy flu as I seem to have had a couple bouts with the liquid no no's tonight, if you catch my drift. Keep your fingers crossed!!! I'm going to pop a viccodin and try and sleep, lol Thanks everyone! My "Go To Crew" ;-)

And where exactly IS my gallbladder??? lol

Gall bladder is on the right side near your liver. When I had a gall bladder episode the cramps would start on the right side just under my ribs and radiate to the left. Mine were associated with nausea, diarrhea and vomiting/dry heaves. My surgeon found crystals in my gb during surgery and took it out (2fer deal!). As far as the tummy flu goes...totally possible! My coworker, her sister and brother-in-law have all had a nasty bug that comes with vomiting and diarrhea. Stay hydrated sweety!!

Robin,
Gall Bladder pain can also radiate to your mid back. It can feel like "all you need to do" is have a good BM or pass some serious wind. But even if you can do those things, it doesn't stop the pain. What kind of foods make it worse? Fatty or greasy stuff? Those are the biggest offenders. One way to tell--lay on your back. Put your left hand under your right breast and feel for the space in between your ribs there. Now rub it. Big owie? Bad gall bladder. It's an easy test to confirm it--elevated Liver enzymes and an ultra sound. If you get right on it, you can conceivably have the surgery before you go on vacation and be recovered by the time you get back. On the other hand, if you put it off, you may end up feeling like kaka the whole time--what kinds of dishes are served at fam reunions? Fatty and greasy.....

....love yourself enough to get it checked out, even if it has quit bothering you.

I didn't know what it could be. I started my cycle yesterday so I thought maybe that's all it was. Even thouhg it was my pouch cramping not my uterus. lol So today I pretty much don't eat anything at all except half an english muffin and two cups of coffee. Not on purpose, I was just really busy. Just now I had a little bit of cevechi and about 4 bites in... here come the cramps again. When I didn't eat I felt fine. So whatcha think peoples?

I think you're a bad girl! Protein protein, protein.......Not bread and coffee. *L*

Okay I've had both, gallbladder and ulcers.

Gallbladder is set off whenever you eat fats. For me the attack wouldn't start until several hours after eating and I think that is about the same for all that have gallbladder disease. The pain is unbeliveable. In the center of the back for some. I had it in the center of the chest. I was taken into the ER with signs of a heart attack.

Ulcers, on the other hand are quick and within 30 minutes of eating. If within 15 minutes of eating then the ulcer was in the stomach. Further out then the ulcer was in the intestine. Almost feels like you were hit in the gut.

Get it check out. Hopefully it's just the coffee.
