Default I wanna weigh myself so bad

but I also want to wait until I see Dr Mueller on tuesday it will be a nice treat. I don't feel any lighter or look it for that matter. My husband says he can see a little difference in my face. but it hasn't even been a week. but that damn head hunger makes it seem like a year. I am into cooking shows now to see how I can my little amount of food the best little amount there is, less for more flavor. Anyone else had this obsession?

Oh yeah, I watched the Food Network a lot post-op. My DH would laugh and shake his head at me. He didn't understand why it wasn't torture for me to watch all of that food being cooked! *L* I don't know, it just never seemed to bother me.

I'm a food network addict now. I generally leave it on all day just for background noise. I've found some really good recipies on there.

I am totally into food network and cooking. It is great to be able to cook delicious and healthy foods. I think that helps as if you are satisfied with what you are eating, you arent wanting more all the time. That is not to say I don't sneak a french fry every now and then. Sometimes you've just got to have it

I am so glad to hear I am not the only one watching Food network. I guess it was like going to the funeral, and remembering the good times

Love watching cooking shows and was obsessed with it right out of surgery, less now.

I have the feeling now that I still love the taste of good food and I don't need a honkin plate of it to be satisfied. Took me a while to be able to order a regular meal in a restaurant as I was wasting, but once I started or order what I wanted, enjoyed every bit of my portion size and leave the rest...much more satisfying that trying to eat something I didn't really want or to share something that didn't satisfy me.

this is great, I am not crazy. I think it makes meeh comfortable to watch the shows. As long as I can't smell it I am ok. Almost like oh yeah I can have that but not with that I will make it with this...yadayadayada..lol I noticed today amazingly how much I use to eat. I mean when you are not eating you realize your old habits. Like today my parents took meeh along for a drive I have been so bored here in this house. We went to Von's and I normally would have gotten a tall carmel macchiato. And then they went to mcdonalds for breakfast (yes with meeh in the car) I would have gotten a english mcmuffin, 2 hash browns and an orange juice. In like 15 minutes I would have eaten like what 800 calories. I dunno well maybe more maybe less just guessing but wow. I also have this habit of looking in the fridge/freezer and pantry just to look. I dunno why weird uh? I am on creamed soups today it went great. I had 2 oz of clam chowder( I strained out the potatoes & clams) I was so good.

Ok so I went to both starbucks and mc donalds website and I was pretty close all that food is 860 calories, that is just for one meal if I ate that much all day that is more then 2500 calories, and I know my lunch and dinner would have been way more calories I know meeh wow I am in shock.

I'm still pre-op but on a strict diet but I love watching the Food Network channel.

My husband thinks I'm totally nuts - he doesn't seem to understand that I actually get a great deal of satisfaction just watching. I'm convinced that just by looking, I'm feeding my mind and that seems to be OK - I can leave it at that - it doesn't have me rushing for the kitchen.
