My tummy doesn't like plain water anymore either! I bought a 64 ounce (jug with a handle) sport bottle at Ralphs, for $3.99 or $2.99 and I fill it with water, then make mixes of the powdered mixes, 2 of the individual servings is perfect in that size. I start in on that right after my coffee in the morning, and I usually get it in. If you are waking up thirsty, that's a sign that you are not getting enough fluids. I'm enjoying a peach Propel right now...LOVE it! oh and they have a new flavor Strawberry (no kiwi) in the one with calcium, it's really good too. I always have Propel in the fridge!

I do 4 liters of crystal lite a day and a large decaf as well, most days. Sometimes, two large decaf Iced coffees and only 3 liters of crystal lite.

There are a lot of flavors, so I just switch it out all the time. Gotta get it in!

I cant drink plain water either.. it tastes nasty. I drink hot tea in the morning, then switch to Raspberry Lemonaid Crystal lite.. and thats the only one I seem to want.. I figure I'll get sick of it.. but in the meantime I can drink gobs when thats what I drink.. I get in between 80-96 oz of liquid a day..

Question

So, just to verify that I am reading things correctly, water with crystal lite could be an equivalent to drinking plain water?

It's not just important to drink water for the weight loss aspect, we are also very at risk for developing kidney stones. They are not a bit of fun! So drink water any way you can. I have a Pur water filter on my tap, and it makes the water taste lots better, so I do that. I can tolerate some of the Propels--the mild ones like Mango and Mandarin Orange. The rest of them and all of the Crystal Lites are too sweet tasting and intense for me, so I either avoid them or water them down a lot.

I think it's a little easier for me to remember to drink water here--we live in a desert, so water is our constant companion. I always have a dozen bottles of water in the fridge, and if I take one out and it warms up before I use it, I just refill it, refridgerate it, and grab another. No one leaves the house without a cold water in their hand.

Default Yes!

Yes, Crystal Lite-flavored drinks, Propel, etc., can be considered part of your water requirement. There is some argument about whether to consider tea or coffee with caffeine as part of your fluid intake. In my informal research, it seems to be about a 50-50 split, mainly because the caffeine acts as a diuretic. But non-caffeinated liquids definitely count.

Personally, I count tea as well, because I drink like a gallon of it a day...and I cannot drink plain water without doubling over. I try it at least once a week, because I miss it.

Default Both are powders

Sorry - we do forget our sisters and brothers across the pond... Crystal Lite and Propel are drink powders that you mix with water... Crystal Lite has zero calories, and Propel has only a few. You can also buy Propel in bottles, in a more extensive range of flavors. If you want to private message me an address, I'll send you a couple of packets of the powders to try... Got a number of friends in Britain from the six years my husband and I were stationed there with the US Air Force, so I know what it takes to get a letter or a package there.
