Yes ScootRider, the procedure can be reversed. Maybe not reversed persay, but the stomach can be used again if necessary, our old stomach still functions today. The main function of the stomach is to hold and churn food, turning it into chyme. The stomach secrets acid for digestion into the intestines, although we no longer have food going through the old stomach, the secretions are still being produced and emptied into the digestive tract to help with the digestion of the food from our new stomach. I would think in order to connect the old stomach back up it would have to be a reverse procedure, because it would have to be hooked up the same way for use.
