Default Surgery yesterday...

I guess I can officially post here now! My surgery was supposed to be at 10:00 a.m., but they didn't bring me to the OR until 12:15. My husband said they called him at 1:00 p.m. and said my surgery started.

I woke up in recovery, feeling not too bad. I think it was around 5:00 p.m. when I got to my room.

I have have the morphine pump, but only used it once last night when my back was hurting. The most pain I have is a headache. I have been walking all day, and managed to find a computer to use! I should get to go home tomorrow.

I had a visit from the surgeon who said my surgery was textbook, and that I should have a speedy recovery. I am hoping to be back to work (desk job) on Monday, at least for 2-3 hours. I will gradually work back into 8 hours.

I finally got ice chips about an hour ago, and clear liquids tonight.

Thank you for all your wonderful, caring thoughts.

Congrats Lori! That's cool that you found a computer you could use there. WTG and I'm glad you're doing so well!

Congrats! I hope you continue to heal well! Even though you feel great remember this is a MAJOR surgery-take it slow!
