You are doing fabulous and I would venture to say that having such a positive attitude and being pro active is really giving you great results in how you are feeling and what you are able to eat. I had such an awful outcome and I barley ate a bite of anything for 3 weeks after the operation. I felt sorry for myself and did not get up and walk because the pain was too much for me to bare. It took months before I changed my attitude and started to help myself. Its great that you are taking control NOW and getting out there and walking.. a MILE! wow.. and you are able to eat so good. DO not look at that as a negative. Its not normal for anyone to only eat a bite of food. What you are consuming will help you in this process. Good job! Keep it up!

Not to worry dearheart! I too felt so darn good and was able to get my "food" and liquids down so well that I actually asked my dh if he thought my doc had really done the surgery. He pointed out how calm, relaxed and nice to be around I was compared to how much I was eating. If you knew me pre-op, you'd know that I was the bitch from hell if I didn't get fed regularly.

Moral of the story...enjoy yourself and welcome to the wonderful world of losing!

P.S. At about 7 or 8 days out I ran out of steam and just crashed hard. No energy. None. Zip. Nada for about 3 days. Then BAM, back it came. Be prepared for this possibility and know that it's normal. At least that's what everyone on here told me at the time.

Sounds like you are doing great! I ditto everything Robin said and thank you Dyann for the reassuring words. We do tend to focus on the negative!
