Default 1 Week Check Up

We had our one week check with our surgeon and he said we were doing wonderful. He is going to send Dorene to the endoscopy doctor again to get her checked out because she had a bacteria in her esophagus. He said a round of supervised antibiotics will take care of the problem. I asked when I can go back to work and he said Monday as long as I get my water and protein. Our Doc said go ahead and try regular foods chew chew chew but no steak. We had not eaten since this morning and it was 3:00PM when we got out of the doctors office so we stopped by Wendy's got a small chili and ate about a 1/4 of it. We are feeling great but full. I don't know if we can get our last protein drink in tonight our not. This is the best thing we have ever done for each other.

Sounds like you two are trucking right along! It is great you are getting to share all of this together, including a small cup of Wendy's chili.

I love Wendy's chili! I love that it costs me under $2.00 for lunch! It's been awhile since I had it actually....I think I might have to get it tomorrow! Thanks for reminding me!! Glad all went well for your post op visit! I look forward to seeing you both next week!
p.s. Duckie posted a great Wendy's chili recipe awhile back....it's awesome! I'll go see if I can find it and bump it to the top! I made it early on and loved it!
p.s.s. Is Doreen seeing one of my docs or is she going to GI Consultants?
p.s.s.s. I bumped the chili recipe to the top, it's under the nutrition section !!!!

Jim and Dorene, so glad that despite a few bumps it sounds as if you both are doing well. How exciting to be able to share this journey together.

Keep taking such good care of yourselves and each other. You're doing an awesome job!
