Default Revision?

When you guys say you have had one, what exactly is this? A revision to the actual gastric bypass?

Hey there!

With mine I was having problems after about 3 years out. I just lived with it for about a year and a half but as things were progressively getting worse I decided I should get some advise as to what was going on. I was having a lot of dumping almost everytime I ate, diarreha 3-6 times in the morning, bloating, gas and terrible shooting pains in my pouch. I went to see a digestive specialist and had an endoscopy. He told me too much food was going into my intestines undigested where the little nasties were having a field day with it, which also caused the "explosive" diarreha. I then went to see the surgeon who did my revision and had an upper GI. He found that a portion of my intestine had dialated and was acting like a second stomach and a portion of the limb was holding food and refluxing back into my pouch. He didn't actually touch my pouch according to my understanding, he did remove a portion at the end of the limb and removed about a foot of intestine. I think Elaine's? story is quite a bit different, and for different reasons. Does this help?

Sharon
