promethazine w/codeine - ThinnerTimes

I've been sick for a week or so. It started w/sore throat/body aches, now I feel okay, but am still tired and have no voice! I stayed home from work for a couple days...then went back...lost the voice again...so am home again today! I went to the doctor, started my z-pak, and he gave me this cough medicine..promethazine w/codeine. I was kind of afraid to take it, but since I'm not going anywhere, what the heck! Well, so far, I love the stuff! Could be a problem! I love daytime tv also! I need to win the lotto so I can stay home full time!

Anyone have any cough medicine stories to share?

We have the codine liquid they give just after surgery. We haven't tried it but been a sleep since we got home. Sorry to here that you are sick. It sure was nice talking to you after surgery. We hope to see you at Tuesday night
meeting. Usually they have a quest speaker of some kind. The one just before surgery Dr Ganzer came and answered questions. It sounds like you
are enjoying the codine and daytime TV>

Hey guys! So glad you are doing so well! I'm feeling lots better today!!! I slept like a baby last night after taking my cough medicine! I don't think I'll even need to take it anymore..I feel normal today! I'll save the rest of it for my next illness! I am back at work today...and able to talk again! Woohooo!
I do miss my cough medicine and daytime tv...but, I do have a pretty fun job, so it's okay!

I will go to the meeting Tuesday night! See you there!

Promethazine KNOCKS ME OUT...I wouldn't be able to watch daytime TV! LOL I do love the codeine though. It makes me feel better and sleep without coughing my head off when I'm sick.

I think I had the same thing, with a nice sinus infection thrown in for my added pleasure. ;(
I didn't have prescription cough medicine, but nyquil did me just fine at night.

I have a schedule and if I'm reading it correctly, the meeting is Tuesday, June 12th right?

Hope all is well with you two! It'll be great to meet you! I have my voice back, so I actually sound human again! I was kind of a cross between Demi Moore and Barry White last week!!! It was pretty freaky!!!

We are doing great and our daughter found Stacker 2 Protein water with 20 grams of protein and 20 oz of water at Raleys where she works. We bought some and it is not bad cold.
I will Email Suzie the facilitator of the Tuesday night group and get the date it meets and PM you.
